SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we're doing a test fit of the SportRack Ridge Hanging Style 5 Bike Rack, designed for 2 inch hitches. The part number for this is SR2405. The first thing we'll do is go over how the bike is strapped down. We've got 2 cradles and then 3 straps, 2 on the frame here and then one is your anti-sway strap in the back. It's going to keep a lot of the movement out of the bike so you won't damage your vehicle or your rack. To release those, we just pull down and lift up, and we save our anti-sway strap for last. Then we can just pull our bike off the rack and set it off to the side. more

We have three straps, two up at the top and they're pretty simple, just pull them off. If you're going to do this, just line up the holes, now there. Our third strap will be on the down tube of the bike, and that's our anti-sway strap which keeps it from moving back and forth and maybe knocking into our other bikes or into the back of our vehicle. Now that we have those undone, we'll go ahead and slide our bike off. It's always a good idea to reattach your straps so that you don't lose them as you're going down the road or putting your rack into storage or whatever you may be doing with it while it's not in use. more
